VC/VP Provisioning - Create PVC/PVP Menu
The VC/VP Provisioning - Create PVC/PVP menu (see
) is used to create a PVC or a
PVP, which are virtual connections of two endpoints.

To provision a PVC, complete the following steps in order:
1. Logon to the Total Access system via the PCU.

, depending on which PSM is to be provisioned, and press

NTER

3. Select
Provisioning
, and press
E
NTER

4. Select
VC/VP Provisioning
, and press
E
NTER
.
5. Press
C
to display the VC/VP Provisioning - Create PVC/PVP menu.
6. Assign a traffic descriptor to each endpoint of the PVC by selecting the options
corresponding to Forward Traffic Descriptor and Backward Traffic Descriptor, and then
enter the name or index of the appropriate traffic descriptor. For a list of available traffic
descriptors, type
?
(If the
?
menu is used, enter
A
(assign) prior to the traffic descriptor
selection.)
7. Enter the VPI/VCI information for each endpoint using the available options and then
press
C
to create the PVC.
8. Once the PVC is created, a list of PVCs is displayed. Before a PVC can be used, it must be
enabled. Press
E
followed by the number of the PVC to be enabled, and press
E
NTER
to
enable the PVC. The current screen updates to show the newly created PVC as Enabled.
