Ext Bits Mode
This option is used to set the type of signal connected to
External Bit B and C on the Total Access 3000 shelf. The
options are as follows:
• T1
• E1
• 2Mhz Square Wave

Stratum 3E Holdover
This option is used to enable or disable Stratum 3E
Holdover capability of the system.
To enable the Stratum 3E Holdover, the Stratum 3E Clock
module (P/N 1181930L1) must be installed in Slot 1 of the
Primary Total Access 3000 shelf.
Line Code
This field displays the Line Code type. The DS3 interface
uses B3ZS as defined in ANSI T1.102-1993. Though Line
Code is displayed on the Provisioning menu, it is set by the
manufacturer and cannot be changed.

Restore Factory Defaults
This option is used to restore the DS3 and Timing
Provisioning options to the following factory default values:
• Framing: C-BIT, MAPPED
• Line Length (meters): 0
• Primary Timing: LOOP
• Secondary Timing: NONE
• Line Code: B3ZS
