DS3 Loopbacks Menu
The DS3 Loopbacks menu (see 

Figure 50

) is used to access submenus to perform various DS3 

loopback tests.

This option is used when not actively testing.

Network Payload Loopback

This option is used to perform a Network Payload Loopback 
test. This test sends a loopback toward the network past the 
DS3 Framer.

Network Loopback

This option is used to perform a Network Loopback test. This 
test sends a loopback toward the network before the DS3 
Framer.

Local Payload Loopback

This option is used to perform a Local Payload Loopback 
test. This test sends a loopback toward the loop ports.

Dual Loopback

This option is used to perform a Dual Loopback test. This 
test sends a loopback toward the network and also toward 
the loop ports.

LIU Network Loopback

This option is used to perform an LIU Network Loopback 
test. This test sends a loopback toward the network at the 
LIU.
