Scrambler
This option is used to enable or disable scrambling of the
ATM cell payload.

Idle Cell Type
This option is used to set the Idle Cell Type to one of the
following options:
• BELLCORE (Unassigned Cell)
• ITU (Invalid Cell)

Maximum VCCs
This option is used to set the maximum Virtual Channel
Connections (VCCs) value to a number from 1 to 8192.
The sum of the current VCCs and VPCs for this port cannot
exceed this value.

Maximum VPCs
This option is used to set the maximum Virtual Path
Connections (VPCs) value to a number from 1 to 256.
The sum of the current VCCs and VPCs for this port cannot
exceed this value.

Maximum VPI Bits
This option is used to set the maximum VPI Bits value to a
number from 0 to 8.

Maximum VCI Bits
This option is used to set the maximum VCI Bits value to a
number from 5 to 16.

Physical Address
This option is used to set and display the alphanumeric
Physical Address (often the ATM address) of the DS3 port.

Neighbor Name
This option is used to set and display the remote (far-end)
termination of the interface known as the Neighbor Name.
The Neighbor Name is an alphanumeric value up to 25
characters in length.
If the neighbor system is manageable through SNMP and
supports the object ifName, the value of this field must be
identical with that of ifName for ifEntry of the lowest level
physical interface for this port.

Neighbor IP Address
This option is used to set and display the Neighbor IP
Address in the format of xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
The IP address of the neighbor system connected to the far-
end of this interface, to which a Network Management Sta-
tion can send SNMP messages, as IP datagrams sent to UDP
port 161, in order to access network management informa-
tion concerning the operation of that system.
