The ATM Provisioning Screen - DS3 Port menu (see
) is used to provision DS3
settings.

The ATM Provisioning Screen - DS3 Port menu options are shown in
Table 30. ATM Provisioning Screen - DS3 Port Menu Options

Function

Port ID
This option is used to enter the Port ID string, which can be
up to 40 alphanumeric characters in length.

Service State
This option is used to provision the service state of the DS3
port. The following service states are available:
• In Service: In this state, the DS3-PSM passes data;
alarms are generated for error conditions.
• Out of Service-Maintenance: In this state, the DS3 Port
does pass data, but alarms are suppressed.
• Out of Service-Unassigned: In this state, the DS3 Port is
disabled.
The default state is Out of Service-Maintenance.

Port Type
This option is used to set the Port Type to one of the
following options:
• UNI (User-to-Network Interface)
• NNI (Network-to-Network Interface)
