Migrating From Adaptec Ultra320 SCSI to HostRAID

At the Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard window,
select Next.

Select Install the software automatically (Recommended), then
click Next.

You may be prompted with this warning message:
“The software you are installing for this hardware: Adaptec xxxxx
HostRAID driver has not passed Windows Logo testing...”
Ignore the warning and click Continue Anyway.

Insert the Adaptec Installation CD into the CD-ROM drive
when prompted, then click OK.

When the driver is copied on the hard disk drive, click Finish.

You will be prompted to restart the computer. Select Yes.
Note:
To migrate the nonboot channel from SCSI to HostRAID,
follow the instructions for migrating from a boot channel for
your other channel.
Migrating With Windows NT 4.0
Installing the HostRAID Driver
To migrate from SCSI to HostRAID with a Windows NT 4.0
operating system, follow these steps:

Start Windows NT 4.0.

Click on Start=>Settings=>Control Panel.

In the Control Panel, double-click the SCSI Adapters icon, then
click on the Drivers tab, then click Add.

From the Install Driver window, click Have Disk....

Insert the Adaptec Installation CD into the CD-ROM drive. If
the CD automatically opens a welcome screen, click the Exit
button to close it.

At the Install From Disk window, click the Browse button and
path
D:\drivers\windows\nt4
(where
D
: is the CD-ROM drive
letter). Click Open, then click OK.
