Creating Driver Floppy Disks
Running Windows
To create the driver disk for all operating systems:
1
Insert the Adaptec Installation CD into your CD-ROM drive
and select Adaptec Utilities from the Main menu.

From the Adaptec Utilities menu, select Create Driver Disk.

Select the appropriate operating system and press Enter.

Select the appropriate driver disk option and press Enter.
5
When prompted, insert a blank floppy disk into your A: drive
and follow the on-screen instructions.
Note:
If you are creating a driver disk for a non-Windows
operating system, you must insert a formatted floppy disk
into your
A
drive.
Running UnixWare or Open Unix
To create the driver disk for UnixWare or Open Unix:
1
Open a UNIX terminal.

At the root prompt, type:
sdiconfig -l

Locate the device node for your CD-ROM drive, for example,
c1b0t1l0
. Mount the CD by typing:
mount -F cdfs -r /dev/cdrom/c1b0t1l0 /mnt
where
c1b0t1l0
is the device node
