Step L - Verifying Proper AC Control of All ADA Bus™
Components
Make certain the Main Power Switch on the ACC-3000 (or primary Delta-88 if no ACC-3000 is
used or if the ACC-3000 is in a remote room) is turned off. Turn on all other power switches
on any other system component. External amplifiers, sources, and ADA Bus™ components
should all remain off even if their individual power switches are on. Turn on the Main Power
Switch on either the primary Delta-88 or ACC-3000. While amplifiers, surround decoders, and
sources will remain off, all other ADA Bus™ components should turn on if properly wired.
Note -
When a Delta-88 is first turned on (receives AC), it will perform a quick self diagnostic
test which lasts a few seconds. All the LEDs will appear to turn on and then off while the room
button LED's will scroll through all eight room buttons.
You can proceed to test the source AC switching by selecting one room on the Delta-88 by
pressing its button. Then turn on the first source by selecting it. Continue this process until
all eight sources have been tested.
Note -
When the first room is turned on by selecting a source (it can be any of the eight rooms),
the Source Display will initially read "POWER UP". The Delta-88 will poll all rooms by
scrolling through the eight room buttons. This process takes a few seconds. The polling
procedure is complete when the Source Display reads the source name and the Room Display
reads the room name. If you are using more than one Delta-88 in your system, all the Delta-
88s will track this turn on process together.
The final level of AC testing involves checking external power amplifiers which are specific to
any one zone. You can proceed to test the AC switching for these devices by selecting their
room button and then selecting a source. The room should turn on as well as its amplifier.
Note -
When the last room on the system is turned off, the source window will first read
