Delta-88 Main AC Connections (cont.)
Option 6 - One Delta-88, One PCT-8, & One ACC-3000
When using the PCT-8 and an ACC-3000, the Delta-88 need no longer have its Main Power
Switch act as the re-boot switch. The ACC-3000 also has a power switch and will be better
suited to provide the master AC
switching. While the ACC-3000
also switches sources on and off as
needed, it also has two additional
switched AC outlets marked "A"
and "B". When wiring the system's
AC Bus, the Delta-88 should be
plugged into the ACC-3000's
Switched "B" AC outlet. Again, as
in previous pages, the PCT-8 can
plug into the Delta-88. When the
ACC-3000's power switch is turned
off, the Delta-88 and PCT-8 will
also turn off. When the ACC-3000
is turned on, the entire system will
re-boot. Please note, if the special
EIC AC line cord for the PCT-8 to Delta-88 connection was not included with your system, you
can connect both the PCT-8 and Delta-88 to the ACC-3000's Switched "B" AC outlet using a AC
power strip.
Using ACC-48s for both source
and amplifier AC switching.
The Delta-88 features a second 9-Pin D Connec-
tor on the upper right hand corner of the back of
the Delta-88. This connector will only track
zones, providing a low voltage output for zones
that are on. As such, it can be used to engage AC
for components such as zone specific external
power amplifiers or home theater systems. Us-
ing this connector permits you to use the 9-Pin D
connector on the Delta back's left side for sources
(with ACC-48(s)).
You can also use the zone tracking 9-Pin D con-
nector (upper right hand side of the Delta-88s
back) with a DB-9 and ACC-3. Using this combination
permits you to utilize the 15Amp rated ACC-3 for
amplifier on/off vs. the 10Amp rated ACC-48. You
can also more easily locate amplifiers away from the
main frame as the ACC-3 uses a low voltage two wire
trigger vs. a ribbon cable.
