. The test gas used for this stage of the calibration is dependent
on the type of calibration and the values of the test gases.

Calibration In Progress (1
st
Point)
Note
. The test gas used for this stage of the calibration is dependent
on the type of calibration and the values of the test gases.
Test gas detection is monitored and, if no test gas is detected, the
calibration fails. Otherwise the test gas valve is opened and the
procedure continues (not applicable if the
Test Gas Type
is
Process
Air
– see page
41
).
Test Gas Response Time monitored – if no response to the
application of the test gas is detected the test gas valve is closed and
the calibration fails.
At this point the calibration procedure remains idle while the test gas
delay timer runs (AutoCal only).
Oxygen value is monitored for stability – if the stability criteria are not
met, the test gas valve is closed and the calibration fails.
Once the stability criteria have been met, a cell impedance check is
performed and the test gas valve is closed
If a
1-Pt calibration
is being performed, the new calibration coefficient
(
Offset
or
Factor
) is calculated. If the new coefficient is outside its
permitted limits (defined by
Offset Limit or Factor Limit
– see page
46
), the calibration fails and a
calibration entry is added to the
Performance Log
.
If a
2-Pt calibration
is being performed, the process values are
retained for the
Calibration Offset & Factor
calculations that are
performed after the 2
nd
-point calibration stage.
