Sample Services Configuration Script — Secondary IP Telephony Server (continued)
Second UPS IP address :
If you are using a second UPS, enter the IP address of the second UPS's
management card or Ethernet interface. If you are not using a second
UPS, press the Enter or Return key to leave this field blank.
The SNMP 'write' community string configured in the second UPS is required.
Second UPS 'write' community string : private
The VCX system polls the UPS at regular intervals to get status
information. A shorter interval makes the system more responsive to UPS
status changes, but consumes more network bandwidth. The default value
should work for most systems.
Polling Frequency (seconds) :
If this server is a UPS Master, it polls the UPS at the interval that you
specify here. Press the Enter or Return key to accept the default answer
(30 seconds) or enter the frequency desired, in seconds.
A 'low battery' condition is reached when the battery charge reaches a
defined threshold percentage.
Low Battery Threshold (%) :
Press the Enter or Return key to accept the default answer (25%) or enter
a different threshold percentage. When the UPS battery reaches this
threshold, the VCX server will log the event through syslog, generate an
SNMP trap indicating that shutdown is imminent, and start an orderly
shutdown of services and the VCX operating system.
Do you wish to change any of the UPS Monitoring parameters? [N] :
Press the Enter or Return key to accept the default answer (N). If you
want to change any of the values, enter
Y.
