5 In the main menu, select Adapter Diagnostics and
then select Continue .
To make selections in 3TLVDIAG:

Use the [Tab] key to select buttons, and press [Enter].
■
Use the arrow keys to select other items, and
press [Enter].
The Adapters Found in System screen appears, listing all
installed 3C339 PCI NICs.
6 Select the NIC you want to test.
The Diagnostic Setup screen for the selected NIC appears,
as shown in Figure 4-2.

7 Select the ring speed and select Continue .
The ring speed can be 4 or 16 Mbps (16 is the default).
This selection must match the network speed, or an
error will remove the NIC from the network.
This selection remains in effect during the diagnostics
session. When you exit the diagnostics, the ring speed
reverts to that specified during installation.
