ROUBLESHOOTING
Running the Diagnostic Tests
The 3TLVDIAG diagnostic and configuration program is
a DOS application that must be run with no drivers or
memory managers installed. It requires that you boot
from a bootable DOS diskette without running the
AUTOEXEC.BAT or CONFIG.SYS files. 3TLVDIAG will not
run in a Windows NT or a Windows 95 DOS window.
To use 3TLVDIAG, follow these steps:
1 Make sure that the NIC is correctly installed. (For
installation procedures, see Chapter 2.)
2 If you are using an operating system other than
DOS, use the appropriate procedure in Table 3-2 to
start DOS.
3 Insert TokenDisk diskette #1 in the floppy drive and
make that the active drive.
4 At the DOS prompt, enter:
3tlvdiag
The 3Com 3TLVDIAG program main menu appears, as
shown in Figure 4-1.
