7 From the Network Adapters list box, select
3C339
TokenLink Velocity Adapter
and click
Add
.
You can edit parameter settings by selecting
3Com
TokenLink Velocity Adapter
and clicking
Edit
.
8 In the Protocols list box, select each protocol used
by your network application and click
Add
.
The protocol drivers appear under the NIC driver name in
the Current Configuration list box. You can edit protocol
parameter settings by selecting a protocol and clicking
Edit
.
9 Click
OK
and then click
Exit
.
10 In the IBM logo panel, click
Exit
.
Messages about updates to the CONFIG.SYS file appear.
11 Make sure the correct drive and directory for the
CONFIG.SYS file are specified, and click
Continue
.
12 Exit the program. At the prompt for updating the
CONFIG.SYS, STARTUP.CMD, and PROTOCOL.INI files,
click
OK
.
13 In the Exiting LAPS window, click
Exit
.
14 If your token ring network is running at 4 Mbps,
you must edit the PROTOCOL.INI file to set the
ring speed.
Include the SPEED parameter after the
DriverName TL3C3X$ line. For example:
[TL3C3X9_NIF]
DriverName=TL3C3X$
SPEED=4
PACKETSIZE=4096
15 Remove the
TokenDisk
diskette and restart the
computer.
This concludes the LAPS procedure for installing the
OS/2 driver.
