Connections

Connecting the S100 floor stand

• Ensure that the rated voltage indicated in the display window (3) (only for

halogen/xenon) corresponds with the rated voltage for the network at the
site of the installation.

• Ensure that the unit has been switched off at the power switch before

plugging in or unplugging connectors at the power input socket (4).

• Make sure that power switch (1) is OFF.

• Plug the supplied power cord on the supply unit into the power inlet sock-

et (4).

• Connect the power cord via a socket to the power supply system.

CAUTION

Risk of electric shock caused by inadmissible or defective accessories!

Inadmissible or defective accessories may lead to increased leakage current!

• Never touch any power outlets or video ports during patient contact.

• When setting up your system, make sure to comply with the require-

ments of IEC 60601-1:2005, chapter 16; in some countries IEC 60601-1-
1:2000 may still be valid.

• Also comply with the Medical Device Operator Ordinance or other na-

tional codes.

NOTE

Risk of tripping!

Inappropriate routing of cables increases the risk of tripping.

• Always run cables in a manner that will not impede the user's move-

ments.

CAUTION

Risk of electric shock

Risk of electric shock for operator and patient if cables and plug connections
loosen and if housing parts are under voltage.

• Only connect the power cord using a socket with proper protective earth

connection.
