I-max for Saline Low & High Cut is adjusted.

Sub step- 6 (Saline Resection Coag Mode)

Equipment:



Monopolar footswitch.



Small test cables with banana plugs



True RMS current meter



10 Ω non-inductive power resistor.

Procedure:

1) Connect:

a) One test cable from Saline Resection plug to 10 Ω. (Refer the connection diagram for

Saline Resection).

b) One test cable from Saline Resection socket to true RMS current meter in series with 10Ω.

c) Monopolar footswitch to the Monopolar 1 footswitch socket on the rear panel.

2) Check and adjust the I-max for Saline Resection Coag output.

a) Select mode „2:6 BiTUR Coag.
a) Press the Monopolar footswitch pedal and check if the current reading is equivalent to 3872

mA ± 20 mA RMS.

b) If not then stop activation. If the output current is high decrease DAC Counts by pressing

down key. If low increase it by pressing up key.

c) Repeat step (b) & (c) sequentially until the meter reading is not in the stated range.
d) When reading is in stated range, press „Write Counts to program memory‟ for storing

corresponding fire count reading in the system memory.

I-max for Saline Coag Soft and Force mode is adjusted.
