Programming of User Programs

: Please follow user programs guide.

(Chapter 3 –subsection F)

PATIENT RETURN ELECTRODE MONITORING (PREM)

PREM electrode is used in monopolar surgery modes. Always ensure that
the contact between Patient skin & Patient Return Electrode is adequate.
Bar below PREM icon indicates the contact adequacy.

Icon

Contact Quality

Excellent

100% Contact with patient.

Safe

Contact with patient is proper and safe.

Moderate

Contact with patient is moderate & viable. If

possible try to improve the contact, connect

PREM dual area plate properly. Take appropriate

measures to improve the contact quality.

Poor

It‟s not recommended to continue with the

surgery; Check PREM connection or replace the

notPREM electrodes.

No contact

PREM patient plate is not connected or is

damaged.
