6 OPERATING THE COMBINATION
It is not allowed to take passengers on the machine.
When the machine has been parked outside, rain water may
have amassed in the air hose underneath the metering system.
Slide the air hose forwards (fig. 19) and remove water, if any.
6.1
Fan speed
The fan should be driven by a PTO speed of 1000 rpm.
If the fan is driven from a hydraulic motor, fan speed should
be adjusted (by means of the control button - fig. 20, A) at
3000 rpm as a minimum.
Adjust the rpm to the required speed at the beginning of a
working pass before lowering the coulters.
• Reduce the rpm at the end of the working pass, but only
after the coulters have been lifted from the ground.
• Keep the PTO speed from falling (temporarily) during the
sowing operation.
If the PTO speed is too low, the accuracy of seed distribution
may be affected whilst the hoses tend to get clogged,
especially when major outputs and/or large-sized seeds are
applied.
6.2
Control of markers
When actuating the valve, the LH and RH markers are folded
down alternately.
If the intended marker is not folded down, you should
proceed as follows.
• Fold down the (wrong) marker roughly half-way.
• Fold up the marker by actuating the valve of the marker
control.
• Actuate the valve one more time. Now the intended marker
will fold down.
