2.2
Mounting the POLYLINER
®
Mount an ISO quick hitch to the tractor’s front hydraulics
(fig. 6). Observe the following instructions:
• The top link and lever arms need to constitute a rigid
connection between the tractor and the quick hitch.
Do not use a top link which allows free movement (for
example because of a slotted hole).
• Secure the lever arms eliminating any side sway. Clearan-
ce, if any, in the catch hooks to be filled up.
During lifting, the quick hitch needs to go straight up i.e.
without tilting backwards. This is ensured by fitting the top
link to the tractor in such a way that it has a parallel
position with the lever arms.
• Manoeuver carefully behind the POLYLINER front tank
and couple it.
• Secure the lock of the quick coupler by means of an R clip
(fig. 6).
Depending on the version, the fan is driven by a PTO shaft
(refer to “2.2.1 Coupling the PTO shaft”) or by a hydraulic
motor (refer to “2.2.2 Coupling the hydraulic system”).
2.2.1
Coupling the PTO shaft
• Check if the PTO shaft telescopes smoothly
• Fit the PTO shaft to the tractor PTO shaft.
At first assembly or use of another tractor: check the
minimum and maximum overlap of the PTO shaft halves.
(Consult the instruction supplied with the PTO shaft.)
Fit the safety chains of the protection tube to a rigid part
of the tractor and POLYLINER front tank.
