• Set the indicator at 0.
• Switch the lock A (fig. 14) from position N to F. The lock
now has to mesh with the groove of the hexagonal shaft.
If the fine seed position was selected, the calibration scale
of the metering device is not allowed to be set at a position
higher than 25.
In order to obtain the output required, the cell wheel should
be opened further at the lower rotation speed. This ensures
more regular filling of cells for minor output rates and fine
seed.

Adjustment of sowing depth
The pressure of all coulter bars can be adjusted per drill unit
centrally and evenly by means of the spindle (fig. 15).
Turn the spindle of the coulter bars to the right for an
increase of sowing depth and to the left if a shallower depth is
required.
The pressure of each individual coulter can be adjusted
separately by means of the chain attached to the draw spring
(fig. 16).
Use another shackle to attach the chain to the coulter. A
smaller length of chain increases the sowing depth.
When operating on loose soil, with a small interrow distance
and at a high forward speed we recommend a lighter adjust-
ment of the coulter pressure of the foremost coulter row. This
will keep the seed rows from being covered with soil by the
following coulter rows.
Increase the chain length of all coulters of the foremost row
by 1 shackle.
