1 INTRODUCTION
The POLYMAT 400 CH is a pneumatic drill (fig. 1)for
combined use with a foldable ROTERRA/CULTITERRA
harrow with a working width of 4 m. The combination as
such is compact and its centre of gravity is positioned close
behind the tractor.
Most seeds with dimensions ranging from 1 to 10 mm can be
sown by the POLYMAT seed drill.
From the metering device of a front tank the seeds are blown
to the distributors of the POLYMAT seed drill.
The TULIP POLYLINER F1 is a front tank comprising of a
fan and a double metering device (fig. 2). The cell wheel of
the metering device is driven by an electric motor. Speed of
rotation is dependent on the impulses given by the sensor on
the ground-driven metering wheel so that seed metering is
not related to forward speed.
The fan ensures the air flow which transports the seeds
towards the distributors of the POLYMAT seed drill.
Because of the whirls in the air flow, generated in the
corrugated part of the elevation column underneath the
distibutor, the seeds are distributed evenly among the hose
connections. Thus an effective seed distribution across the
entire working width is ensured, even when drilling on a
sloping plot.
The POLYLINER F1-POLYMAT 400 CH combination is
equipped with a TULIP POLYTRONIC EV or EVS control
system.
