Forward speed
Recommended forward speed depends upon the type and
preparatory treatment of the soil, with a maximum of approx.
12 km/h.
At approx. 12 km/h the electric motor of the metering system
turns at its maximum speed. If the forward speed is further
increased, an alarm is given for a fault in the metering
system.
At a high forward speed the seeds of the foremost coulter row
can easily be covered with a lot of soil by the rear coulters.
In that case, reduce either the forward speed or the coulter
pressure of the foremost coulter row. For more details please
refer to “4.4 Adjustment of sowing depth”.

Use of the POLYTRONIC
®
For the use of the POLYTRONIC control system please be
referred to the separate operator’s manual. Due note should
be taken of the following points.
• The cable of the POLYMAT seed drill’s job computer
should be connected to the tractor’s terminal block (fig.
21). The cable of the job computer on the POLYLINER
front tank should also be connected to the tractor, just like
the E-LINK control panel (EV) or Dronningborg control
panel (EVS).
• As soon as you turn the key in the ignition to make contact,
the POLYTRONIC control system is activated.
• The speed sensor for the POLYMAT 600 CH seed drill is
not fitted to the metering system but to the metering wheel
(fig. 22).
Should there be a faulty sensor connection (for example:
sensor not connected/wiring break/malfunctioning sensor),
then a calibration test is not possible because the operation
of the electric motor of the metering system will be
hampered.
• Upon lifting of the coulter beam, the electric motor of the
metering system will stop as soon as the working pass
sensor is activated, even though the metering wheel may
still be turning round.
• The fan sensor and low seed level signalling device are
connected to the job computer of the POLYLINER front
tank.
