NOTE: The number of measurement points are limited by the hardware of the device. Indeed, the memory charge
will increase by adding a point. For the Altitude
16
, we suggest that you don’t have more than 10 measurement points.
Figure 84: Multi-point measurement before calibration
Click on Add measure to add a new measurement point. By default, all the measurements are called Measurement X, but
you can rename them if you want to remember specific points.
All the multi-points measurement are organized around a reference point. This point is specific and has to exist to calibrate.
It shows the point of measurement that represents the most important point in your Room. Generally, it will be used for the
armchair of the main user or a central area in front of the screen.
NOTE: The reference point does not mean that it is the most used point in the calibration. The importance of each
points will relatively be set in the Weighting Step. The reference point is the point use in the 3D view to place the
screen and all speakers found during the calibration as well as to set the precise level ans delay values for all of the
speakers relative to each other.
For each point you will have to calibrate the system. The system will automatically start sending MLS bursts to your
speakers.
NOTE: The calibration tool plays three MLS bursts for every speakers and subwoofers. If the calibration goes wrong,
please see the section 6.10.3 of this manual. The calibration will add the speaker position related to the reference
point as and when the calibration.
