Unit and Compressor Nameplates
Unit Nameplate
The unit nam eplate is located on the left side of the control
panel. A typical unit nam eplate is illustrated in
Figure 1
and contains the follow ing inform ation:
•
Unit m odel and size descriptor
• Unit electrical requirem ents
• Correct operating charge and refrigerant type
• Unit test pressures and m axim um operating pressures
• Unit literature
Serial Number.
The unit serial num ber provides the
specific chiller identity. Always provide this serial num ber
w hen calling for service or during parts identification.
Service M odel Number.
The service m odel represents
the unit as built for service purposes. It identifies the
selections of variable unit features required w hen
ordering replacem ents parts or requesting service.
N ot e: Unit-m ounted starters are identified by a separate
num ber found on the starter.
Product Description Block.
The CenTraVac™ m odels
are defined and built using the Product Definition and
Selection (PDS) system . This system describes the product
offerings using a product coding block w hich is m ade up of
feature categories and codes that identifies all
characteristics of a unit.
