(2) Poll response
The slave device that receives the poll command sends an arbitrary amount of response data to the master
device. The content of the response data depends on the specifications of the slave device. The controller
uses network variables to read the response data of polling from DN611B. See Chapter 4 for settings.

Bit-strobe command / response
The bit-strobe command / response method is used to input / output a small amount of data between a master
device and a slave device.
In the bit-strobe command, the master device outputs 1-bit data to each slave device all at once based on the
information in the scan list.
Each slave device sends a response (0 to 8 bytes) to the bit-strobe command to the master device (bit-strobe
response). How the slave device interprets the bit-strobe command and what data is sent in the bit-strobe
response depends on the specifications of the slave device.
This communication function requires that the slave device support the bit-strobe command / response method.
(1) Bit-strobe command
Transmits data by broadcast to bit-strobe compatible slave devices on the network.
The bit-strobe command contains 64-bit output data, and one output bit is assigned to each node address on
the network (Figure 1-8).
In the example in Figure 1-8, the DN611B inputs sensor information in the bit strobe format and sends output
control data to the actuator.
(2) Bit-strobe response
The slave device that receives the bit-strobe command sends response data of 0 to 8 bytes to the master
device for each slave device. The content of the response data depends on the specifications of the slave
device.
