g. Click Load To Detector . A dialog box containing the message Method Has Been
Downloaded appears. Click OK .
h. Click the Display tab to open the Display page.
i. In the Data area, click Start to refresh the display (see Figure 68 ).
j. Save a printout or an electronic copy of the spectrum. Date the printout and add it to
your maintenance records. To monitor any degradation in light intensity, compare
this scan with similar scans that you obtain in the future (see
“Recording the
Performance of the Lamps” on page 77 ).
Note These diodes roughly correspond to the wavelengths of 230 nm, 250 nm,
and 280 nm, respectively. The Discrete Channels area on the Display page
contains a digital readout for the selected diodes (see
Figure 68 ). Record these
readout values to track the performance of the deuterium lamp. You can also use
other diode values to track the performance of the deuterium lamp.
