Configuring the MS in Chromeleon 

Your MS instrument utilizes the first native MS driver for Chromeleon 7.2 
chromatography data systems (CDS). Unlike other MS instruments, there is 
no other auxiliary software required to directly control the MS.  

 

Configuring the MS 

1)

 

Please follow the steps as outlined below to configure the MS within 
Chromeleon 7.2. 

2)

 

The MS instrument should be powered “On”, under vacuum and supplied with 
nitrogen gas. 

3)

 

Open Chromeleon Service Manager and select the “Configure Instruments” 
option. Follow documented Chromeleon procedures to create a new 
instrument within Chromeleon 7 to add either an IC or LC system. 

4)

 

Once the front-end LC or IC is configured select “Add module to instrument” as 
shown in Figure 63. 

5)

 

The MS can be found in either one of several locations
