Switching Between HESI and APCI Modes on the ISQ EM Source Housing 

 
Your ISQ EM source housing has a switch on the side of the source housing 
that must be aligned with the installed probe (HESI or APCI) for your system 
to work properly. Please follow the instructions in this section before 
starting your analysis.  

 

1)

 

If you want to use the HESI probe on your ISQ EM, ensure that the 
probe switch on the side of the source housing is turned to the side. 
The HESI label will show clearly. Ensure the probe switch on the left 
side of the source housing faces up so that the needle is positioned 
correctly for analyzing samples. See Figure 50.

If you want to use APCI mode, ensure the probe switch on the side 
of the source housing faces up so that the needle is positioned 
correctly for analyzing samples. See Figure 51.
