The transfer of the vaporized sample from the injector to the column takes place
slowly due to the low column flows involved. With typical carrier gas flow rates
of 1–4 mL/min, the transfer can take between 30 and 90 seconds, depending on a
variety of circumstances.
This transfer time should correspond to he splitless time. You can set the splitless
time in the
INLET
menu when you select
Splitless
mode.
