6.6.3.4.3 Load
Firmware of LG−A and LG−M to the same LG−
X
board
The procedure of loading the firmware for LG−A or LG−M to an individual LG−
X
as described in
6.6.3.4.2 is one recommended possibility. A second one is to load both firmware versions to the same
LG−
X
board. This allows to insert this board both in the locations of LG−A or L−M for the individual
transmitter. Doing this the loaded firmware remains stored, but the specific data are lost.
NOTE:
The specific data (e.g. alarm limits, nominal values, transmitter parameter, calibration and
normalization data are lost changing the LG−
X
operational function. The specific data
have to be reloaded !
Perform the firmware loading procedure as follows.
NOTE:
The sequence of the firmware loading procedure is as described in 6.6.3.4.2 e) to i), but
it is performed inserting the LG−
X
each to the location of LG−A respectively LG−M.
Switch off equipment before inserting/replacing the board.
a) Shutdown equipment with switches TX1 and TX2.
b) Insert LG−
X
board to location LG−A.
c) To start the special function menu, press buttons S1 and S4 simultaneously on the LCP immedi-
ately after power on and hold pressed until screen of LCP contains Control menu information (see
Fig. 6−8 a).
d) Press button S4 at least 1 s to start the LGX bootloader menu (Fig. 6−9 a).
e) Select one of the upcoming menu points (Fig. 6−9 a) according to the board which has to be
installed. Perform loading procedure as described in 6.6.3.4.2 e) to i).
f) Shutdown equipment with switches TX1 and TX2.
g) Insert LG−
X
board to location LG−M.
h) To start the special function menu, press buttons S1 and S4 simultaneously on the LCP immedi-
ately after power on and hold pressed until screen of LCP contains Control menu information (see
Fig. 6−8 a).
i) Press button S4 at least 1 s to start the LGX bootloader menu (Fig. 6−9 a).
j) Select one of the upcoming menu points (Fig. 6−9 a) according to the board which has to be
installed. Perform loading procedure as described in 6.6.3.4.2 e) to i).
k) Shutdown equipment with switches TX1 and TX2.
NOTE:
The firmware is now loaded to the board. However the specific parameter have to be re-
loaded using the board as LG−A respectively LG−M.
