FLIGHT CHECK
The following describes procedures for flight check. However scope and sequence of this procedures
may vary depending on the individual flight check crew. It is assumed that TX1 is used as aerial trans-
mitter. Set to monitor bypass mode during flight check procedure (except check of ident signal).
NOTE:
A local LCP menu "FLIGHT CHECK ADJUSTMENT" is available for some level or phase
adjustments during flight check, e.g. for CSB and SBO. This menu item is only available
in
Local Mode
position of the key switch on the LCP.
4.7.1
SDM and DDM Check (TX1)
NOTE:
According to section
a) Switch TX1 on.
b) Radiate CSB as normal and set SBO Amplitude to 0.0 %.
NOTE:
Note old value: ...............
c) Correct CRS SDM if necessary.
NOTE:
Range of values: 0...99.9 %. Note value.
d) Correct CRS DDM 0 if necessary (this should not normally be necessary).
NOTE:
Range of values:
0..±49.9 %. Note value.
4.7.2
Phase Check
NOTE:
According to section
a) Set SBO Amplitude to old value again.
b) Alter the CRS SBO Phase as specified by the flight check crew until DDM 0 can be measured in
the aircraft.
NOTE:
Note value: ...............
c) Add or subtract 90° to or from the determined SBO Phase, and check that the signal is radiated
correct left−to−right.
NOTE:
Note value: ..................
4.7.3
Width Check
NOTE:
According to section
Alter the SBO Amplitude as specified by the flight check crew until the correct width can be measured.
4.7.4
Monitor Readjustment
The settings made during the flight check make it necessary to readjust some of the monitor parame-
ters. Repeat the appropriate steps in Section 4.4.
4.7.5
Course Alarm
NOTE:
See also section 4.8 Alarm Limits and Width Calculation.
a) Open dialog ’Monitor 1 − Current Executive Data’ (for MCS: dialog ’Monitor 1 − Measurements/
Limits: Current Executive Data’). Select indication ’Exec. CRS Pos. DDM’.
