Analyzer

MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE

Predictive diagnostic functions, including data acquisition records, failure warnings and

test functions built into the analyzer, allow the user to determine when repairs are

necessary. A minimal number of simple, regularly performed maintenance procedures

(Section 5.1) will ensure that the analyzer continues to operate accurately and reliably over

its lifetime. Repairs and troubleshooting are covered in Section 5.7 of this manual.

5.1 MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

Table 5-1 shows a typical maintenance schedule for the instrument. The actual frequency

of performing these procedures can vary depending on the operating environment.

Additionally, in some cases, there are local regulations or standards that also need to be

considered.

A Span and Zero Calibration Check (see CAL CHECK REQ’D

Column of Table 5-1) must be performed following certain of the

maintenance procedure listed below. To perform a CHECK of

the instrument’s Zero or Span Calibration, refer to Sections

4.2.1.1 and 4.2.1.2, respectively.
Alternatively, use the Auto Cal feature described in Section 4.3

with the CALIBRATE attribute set to OFF (not enabled).
