DTG5078 & DTG5274 & DTG5334 Data Timing Generator User Manual 2

Cleaning Procedure -

Exterior

1.

Remove loose dust on the outside of the instrument with a lint-free cloth.

2.

Remove remaining dirt with a lint free cloth dampened in a general purpose

detergent-and-water solution. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

3.

Clean the monitor screen with a lint-free cloth dampened with either ethyl
alcohol or, preferably, a gentle, general purpose detergent-and-water solution.

Cleaning the

Instrument Interior

Only qualified personnel should access the inside of the

DTG5000 Series

for

inspection and cleaning, refer to the

Maintenance

section in the

DTG5000 Series

service manual.

WARNING.

To avoid injury or death, unplug the power cord from line voltage

before cleaning the instrument. To avoid getting moisture inside the instrument
during external cleaning, use only enough liquid to dampen the cloth or applicator.
