Partial Pattern Jitter

DTG5078 & DTG5274 & DTG5334 Data Timing Generator User Manual 2

If the data format of Channel 1 is NRZ or RZ, jitter is applied at the edge of the
pulse the rising section of which is included in the Gate On area. This occurs for
each positive pulse, for the Rise/Fall pairs. Also if you have selected Fall for Edge,
whether jitter is applied depends on whether the rising section of the pulse is
included in the Gate On area. This occurs for each positive pulse, for the Rise/Fall
pairs.

If the data format of Channel 1 is R1, jitter is applied at the edge of the pulse the
falling section of which is included in the Gate On area. This occurs for each
negative pulse, for the Fall/Rise pairs. Also if you have selected Rise for Edge,
whether jitter is applied depends on whether the falling section of the pulse is
included in the Gate On area.

In addition, when a data format is NRZ, Jitter may not be applied in a Gate On area
at the beginning of or end of a block.
