If the DTG5000 you are trying to connect to is listed here, you should see
its IP address in “Visa Descriptor” column.

If you don't see the IP address of the DTG5000 click “

Preferences

” in the

dialog shown above. This brings up the following Dialog.

Check the “

Search for LAN Instruments

” option and click

Click “

Refresh

” in the previous Visa Resource Manager Configuration dialog.

Wait while the TekVisa resource manager finds the instruments. Once you see
the IP Address of your DTG5000 in the Visa Descriptor column of the
Configure dialog, you are ready to connect.

Bring up the VisaAPIDemo.exe on your PC as described above.

In the “

Resource Name

” edit box, type the following string:

TCPIP::<ip address of the DTG5000>::INSTR

Click

viOpen

to connect.
