a.

Start with the

Falling Edge

parameter and increase or decrease the value

to see a waveform as in Waveform A below.

b.

When satisfied with Falling Edge of the waveform as in Waveform B
below, adjust the

Rising Edge 1

. If needed, also adjust the

Rising Edge 2

until the waveform is displayed as Waveform C or D below. In some cases,
the interaction of Rising Edge 1 and 2 are such that the signals can “meet”
in the middle of the two traces by increasing one value and decreasing the
other.

Once Falling and Rising Edges have been adjusted, it may be necessary to
adjust the

Duty Offset

as in Waveform C, to achieve a balanced signal as

in Waveform D below. In cases of significant Duty Offset adjustment,
there is a slight possibility that iterative adjustment of Falling or Rising
Edge values will be needed.

NOTE.

For fastest results, make changes to the edge parameters by increasing or

decreasing each value by 100. This can easily be achieved by setting the curser in
the “100's” location for the parameter and then turning the multi-purpose
adjustment knob on the DTG5000 front panel.
