Testing the flow sensor
The fan is equipped with a pressure sensor to determine the air flow from the fan and the installed
ring. The sensor is made of thin stainless steel tubing.
Regularly check that the flow sensor does not appear broken and attaches tightly to the fan.
Fig. 8.7
Regularly test the flow sensor
and tubing for leaks.
Find the four pin holes in the steel tubing on the
back of the sensor. Temporarily seal them, e.g.
with masking tape. Attach a piece of tubing to the
connection on the electrical box marked in red
(near the handle). Next, suck on the open end of
the tube; if there are no leaks in the tubing, a
vacuum will be created. If you cannot create a
vacuum, send the fan in for repairs. Remove the
tape.
Cleaning the fan
Use a damp cloth to remove dust deposits on the motor, rings, blades, and housing.
Note:
Keep the air intake free of obstacles.
Keep the inlet area of the fan free of all obstacles
For a controlled regulation, the inlet area of the BlowerDoor fan must be free of all obstacles.
