BlowerDoor Standard
To find the actual air flow, use the formula provided by the manufacturer:
airflow

(m³/h)
= airflow
reading
(m³/h)
∙
1.204 kg/m³
Air density (kg/m³)
*)
*) Density of the air that flows through the fan. With negative pressure in the building, that is the
density of the inside air. With positive pressure in the building, that is the density of the outside air.
Note:
TECTITE Express, the accompanying program, corrects the airflow automatically.
Calibration
We recommend that the fan be recalibrated every four years. Contact our office for more information.
With the exception of damage, the fan should retain its factory-set calibration settings between the
recommended calibrations. Damage may include damage to the flow sensor, shifting of the motor or
blades within the fan housing, damage to the housing itself, and leaks in the tubing or flow sensor.
Periodically check the fan for damage.

The fan is calibrated to a pressure differential of up to 80 Pa, but can be calibrated to differentials of
up to 100 Pa. To do this, the data points must lie on the line of best fit.
