96K LPCM Out
You need this setting only when this DVD player is
connected to an audio equipment via DIGITAL audio output.
96K:
Select this when the connected audio equipment is capable
of 96 kHz audio.
96K > 48K:
Select this if the connected audio equipment is not capable
of 96 kHz audio.
Downmix
To play a DVD disc recorded with surround multi-channel
audio correctly, select either one according to your audio
system.
When an audio component equipped with a built-in Dolby
Digital or DTS decoder is connected via the DIGITAL OUT
terminal and "DIGITAL OUT" is set to "BITSTREAM", the
Downmix setting has no effect.
LT/RT:
Select this when the unit is connected to an audio
component equipped with a built-in Dolby Pro Logic
decoder. You need to set the next PRO LOGIC setting to
"AUTO" or "ON".
STEREO:
2-channel stereo output, for stereo listening through the
analog left and right outputs.
Select this when the unit is connected to a TV, stereo
amplifier, CD recorder, MD deck, etc.
< Depending on the disc, the actual outputs may not match
your selection.
Pro Logic
Set this setting depending on whether your audio equipment
is capable of Dolby Pro Logic surround effects.
AUTO:
Select this so that the Pro Logic setting is automatically
switched on or off depending on whether a playing disc
contains the surround signal.
ON:
Select this so that the Pro Logic setting remains switched on
whether or not a playing disc contains the surround signal.
OFF:
No surround signal is sent out at all.
