10.9 Scrambling a service using BISS1 key

Setup of BISS1 scrambling is done in three steps.

Input BISS key

1. Select Scrambling from the top menu, and then the BISS1 sub-menu.

2. Input the desired session word. The session word is the automatically converted

(and displayed) to the appropriate control word.

Select service for scrambling

1. Navigate to the

Outputs

page, and select the

Services

sub-tab.

2. Select the service containing the desired component and make sure it’s transmitted

and press edit.
