8.7.2.4.3 Configuration
Enable
Enable SFN synchronisation for this device.
Resync timeout
If enabled, the CP525 will wait the configured number of seconds before performing a
resync if the timing has exceeded it’s resync boundaries. A resync will be needed if the
TimeSource and Clock Regulator drifts too far apart. To avoid this, use a TimeSource that
is locked to the Clock Regulator.
8.7.2.4.4 Sync status
This page shows the offset and drift between the Clock Regulator (1PPS or GPS) and external
TimeSource (SNTP or GPS).
Initial offset
Initial measured offset between external TimeSource and Clock Regulator. This is the offset
found when doing a SFN resynchronisation.
Current offset
Current measured offset between external TimeSource and Clock Regulator. The difference
between the Initial and Current offsets will give the current drift between the external
TimeSource and Clock Regulator. It is important that the drift is kept small.
Drift
Drift between Clock Regulator and TimeSource. Hover the moise pointer over the indicator
bar for a tooltip. If this value increases or decreases over time, the Clock Regulator and
TimeSource are drifting apart, and over time this will cause the unit to loose sync compared
to a separate CP525 connected to the same TimeSources.
