Chapter 7 Troubleshooting
After detecting anomaly of inverter, protection circuit and fault output relay
work and display fault and stop running. Please be sure to find fault reasons and
corresponding countermeasures, and run again after troubleshooting.
7.1 Protection function

Over-current
protection (o.C.)
When output current exceeds 200% of inverter rated current, cut off
inverter output and stop running.
Over-voltage
protection (o.E.)
When renewable energy of motor decel make main circuit DC voltage
raise above 400V (1Ph 220V series) or 800V (3-Ph 380V series), cut
off the output and stop running.
Intelligent power
module protection
(F.Lt)
When IPM fault happens, cut off output and stop running.
Under-voltage
protection
(P.oFF)
When inverter power voltage is under 170V (1Ph 220V series) or 300V
(3-Ph 380V series) because of power-cut or voltage drop, cut off the
output and stop running.
Over-current limit
(current stalling)
Once overload, the inverter will automatically adjust the output
frequency, so that the output current fall below over-current limit value
which is setted by current stalling electrical level.
(overload capacity: general purpose is 150% rated current, 1 minute;
fan and pump purpose is 120% rated current, 1 minute)
Over-voltage
limit (voltage
stalling)
If the output frequency declines sharply, renewable energy from the
electric motor raises DC bus voltage of main circuit. Meanwhile,
automatically adjust the output frequency in order to make DC voltage
does not exceed the setting value.
Over-load
protection (o.L.)
Starts the function of electronic over-heat protection (set b-024 as 1).
Cut of the output and stop running when the load exceeds setting output
value (b-025).(factory default: general purpose is general purpose is
150% rated current, 1 minute; fan and pump purpose is 120% rated
current, 1minute)
