3. There should be logger results selected in in the Logger Results
window (
path: <Menu> / Measurement / Data Logging /
Logger Results
).
The logger file name is defined automatically using a pattern &
LLdd
, where
LL
is the string of letters (so called
prefix
) and
dd
is a string of digits that
forms a number (
path: <Menu> / Measurement / Logging / Logger Setup /
Logger Name
). Up to 8 characters can be used to name a file.
The default prefix for the logger files is &
LOG
.
The instrument remembers the highest number for all prefixes the user has
created and automatically creates new names just increasing by one this
maximum number. Any
user’s attempt to create name with existing prefix
and number lower that the maximum one will be failed.
The file number automatically increases after every saving operation.
The user can change the automatically
generated file name in the special screen,
which is opened after pressing the ◄ or ►
push-buttons.
This screen has help information how to
edit the file name.

Note:
During the measurement run with data logging to the logger file the “curve” icon is displayed.
Automatic saving of main results files
Files with main results can be saved automatically in the
SD Card
memory
with an extension .SVN in a similar way to the logger files. To enable
automatic saving following conditions should be fulfilled:
1. SD card should be inserted and there should be enough space on it.
2. The
Auto Save
function should be switched on (
path: <Menu> / File /
Save Options / Auto Save: On
).
The default prefix for the main results files is
@RES
.
Note: Manual saving is not possible when the instrument is measuring the signal. If the use attempts
to save the message
“Measurement in progress!” will displayed for about 3 seconds.
Note: When no measurements were performed and there are no
results to be saved, the attempt to save the file will be fail and
the warning will appear on the screen.
