Configuration software 

To configure the CP completely, you require the following products as configuration tools: 

●

 

STEP 7 V5.5 

●

 

SINAUT Engineering Software V5.5 

●

 

STEP 7 Basic V13 + SP1 + Update 2 + Support package 0111 
You require the support package for the CP 1243-8 IRC. 

The use of the two STEP 7 products is described in the section Configuration and operation 

(Page 45).

Installation of the support package for STEP 7 Basic 
Install the support package in STEP 7 using the menu command "Options" > "Support 

packages” from the file system of the engineering station.

Program blocks for Open User Communication and S7 communication 

For Open User Communication and S7 communication, program blocks are required, see 

section Programming the program blocks (OUC) (Page 97). 

Requirements for using mobile wireless services

A contract with a suitable mobile wireless network provider 
The contract must allow the transfer of data.

IP address: 
For communication with the master station, a private (fixed) or public (dynamic) IP 

address assigned by the mobile wireless network provider can be used.
