If the EuroFID does not work at all …

If the measured values are obviously incorrect …
Possible cause Note
The mains cable is not correctly
connected.

Check the mains cable and the connections.
The main switch is set to OFF.

Check the mains switch of the EuroFID (rear of
the operating unit).
Mains supply failure.

Check the external switches and fuses.

Check the mains voltage.
The internal mains fuse is
defective.

Check the internal mains fuse ( → P. 171, §15.3 ).
Internal operating temperatures
are incorrect.

Check the malfunction messages ( → P. 93, §10.5 ).
The supply of sample gas is not
working.

Check the supply of sample gas ( → P. 34, §3.5 ).
The internal software is not
working.

Switch off the EuroFID operating unit and switch
on again after a few seconds.
The overtemperature switch of the
analyzer unit has been triggered.

Possible cause Note
The EuroFID is not ready for
operation.

Follow the start-up procedure ( → P. 77, §8 ).

Pay attention to the status messages ( → P. 93,
§10.5 ).
The EuroFID is not correctly
calibrated.

Check the employed span gas ( → P. 147, §12.3.2 ).

Check the setpoint value ( → P. 149, §12.4.2 ).

If necessary, re-run calibration.
The averaging setting is too high.

Check ( → P. 120, §11.11.3 ); if necessary change
for testing purposes.
The pressure at the sample gas
inlet is either too high or too low.

Check the supply of sample gas ( → P. 34, §3.5 ).
The sample gas supply is leaking.

Inspect.

Run a leakage test on difficult installations.
If only observed on an analog
output:
The load is too high.

Ensure that the internal resistance of the
connected devices is not greater than 500

.
The EuroFID measuring system is
soiled.

Contact the manufacturer's after-sales service
department.
The stability of the zero and calibration point depends on the consistency of
the temperature of the gas-carrying components.
