Setpoint value for the span gas (calibration gas value)
Function
The setpoint value of the span gas (for sensitivity calibration) is specified in the “Calibr. Gas
Value” menu. The setpoint value is the actual hydrocarbon concentration in the span gas; it
is always entered on the EuroFID in the physical unit “ppm”.
Procedure
1 Open the menu: Main menu


Criteria for the suitable span gas setpoint value → P. 147, §12.3.2
●
The setpoint value for the span gas is always “0 ppm”.

If you use a test gas from a cylinder: Read the setpoint value from the
certificate of the gas cylinder. This usually specifies the concentration of a
calibration gas and the manufacturer's accuracy.

If the span gas is changed (e.g. after replacement of the gas cylinder): Do
not forget to modify the setpoint value.
