General requirements at the measurement site
A
flat
road with a route as
straight
as possible is needed for use of the profiling system.
The length of the straight section before and after the measuring point is defined by the
maximum vehicle length to be checked.

To ensure optimum measurement results, there must be a gap of at least 2 m between
vehicles passing through the measurement site. The faster the speed, the longer the
distance between the vehicles has to be.

Requirements for mounting the vehicle detection components
The measurement system requires a stable gantry that is twist-resistant and free of
vibrations. This gantry must also have sufficient load bearing capacity to support the 2D
LiDAR sensors used for vehicle detection.
