make charged toner to adhere to the electrostatic latent images on the OPC drum. This operation is
called "Developing."

Toner density sensor (C) Sense the toner concentration. There is a fuse inside this sensor to detect whether the color
developing unit is a vir-gin one or not. When a virgin color developer unit is installed, the fuse is
blown to reset the color developer unit counters.
