b. All PJL commands supported and their parameter setting range
The following Table shows all the PJL commands (19 commands) used for PJL support, their functions and parameter setting ranges.

Command Name Command Function
Kernel Commands UEL(Universal Exit Language) Must be inserted in the beginning mode and end, when exiting from current printer
language for controlling by PJL.
COMMENT Gives comment.
ENTER Selects printer language for processing job.
Job JOB Informs printer of the beginning of job.
Separation
Commands EOJ Informs printer of the job end. Resets page count.
Environment DEFAULT Default setting (to EEPROM).
Commands User Default Environment
SET (Temporary) setting during PJL job. PJL Current Environment
PJL Currnt Environment
INITIALIZE Resets current value to factory default value (INITIALIZE).
RESET Resets current value to default value.
Status INQUIRE Requests the sending of current value (PJL Current Environment).
Readback DINQUIRE Request the sending of information of default value (User Default Environment).
Commands ECHO Used to synchronize host and printer. It clarifies time, and which job is printing
INFO Requests the sending of printer’s specific information (model No., configuration,
memory amount, etc.)
USTATUS Sets if unsolicited message (error, etc.) is automatically returned or not.
USTATUSOFF Deletes the request for unsolicited message.
Device RDYMSG Changes control panel message. Printer remains online.
Attendance OPMSG Changes control panel message, and sets printer offline.
Commands STMSG Shows which key operator pressed to set printer online
CLEAR Performs the same operation as when the key is pressed on the control panel.

Parameter which is not supported is struck out.
Parameter which must be created newly for Color Laser Printer and setting range which is different from HP original are painted gray.
Commands and parameters which are not marked comply with HP originals. Added command and parameter must operate as described.
