d. Status Preservation (EX only)
Status preservation will be performed, when emulation is switched,
for data which is downloaded in PCL5EC and PostScript resident
form.
Status preservation memory management
In case of status preservation, User Area for status preservation is
shared by PCL5EC and PostScript emulation.
Status Preservation function depending on the system memory size.
If RAM size is 8MB, this function can not be used (This item does not
appear on the Front Panel).
(3) INTERFACE
a. Support I/O Interface
The Sharp Color Laser Controller provides one standard I/O and two
extended I/O slot as follows.
Standard Bi-directional Centronics, compliant with IEEE1284
Extended Support Buffered LocalTalk/RS232C Serial Interface
Board
Support Ethernet Board (DPI’s Network Board)
b. Auto Port Sensing
These I/O port support Auto Port Sensing . This function can be set
ON/OFF for each port by Operation Panel.
Switching timing will be as follows: When data receiving begins, no
data from other I/F will be received until JOB END and Time Out is
processed. While receiving data via one I/F, the other I/F will be
informed of BUSY.
